Wellness Warrior™ is an “East meets West” integrative lifestyle programme that offers simple practical solutions for achieving good health, wealth and success. The theory of Chinese Medicine provides a platform for understanding how physical, mental and emotional challenges manifest and how to re-balance them.

Our health is the foundation for achieving ultimate success in all aspects of life. Our health is our wealth.  It is not until we lose it that we value it.  The journey towards bringing balance to our lives can be initiated in five easy Wellness Warrior™ steps: move, sense, nourish, breathe, relax.

  1. MOVE:   Your brain and your body need you to move every day.  Eastern exercise disciplines have proved for thousands of years that gentle, mindful exercise is all the body needs to remain toned, strong and flexible and the mind to be clear, alert and centred. In other words, less is more.
  2. SENSE:   Your body has a voice.  Aches, pains, stiffness, headaches are signs that your body needs attention. Are you listening or do you suppress symptoms and early warning signs of health imbalances with artificial substances or stimulants?
  3. NOURISH:   Food is your body’s medicine. Are you giving your body ‘A’ grade fuel to ensure optimal performance at work and in life? 75% of fitness is what you put in your mouth!
  4. BREATHE:   The quality of your breathing is essential to good health. When we are stressed breathing becomes shallow, the immune system is suppressed, the mind becomes chaotic, and digestion is compromised. In order to feel fully alive present and powerful your breathing needs to be full and relaxed.
  5. RELAX:   The body repairs, heals and rejuvenates when you are still, silent and deeply relaxed. Creativity and innovativeness is born out of detachment and relaxation.  Recreation births re-creation.

Moving every day, being sensitive and aware of your body’s voice, quality food, breathing deeply and total relaxation are the vital ingredients for good health, wealth and success.

Starting with one will nourish the next step along your wellness journey.

Start with "MOVE" for example. As you begin moving and exercising for at least 30 minutes every day your body and your brain are nourished and energised.  Gradually you are more aware and sensitive to your body's needs.  You feel where you may be stiff, tight and tense.  You become aware of what may need strengthening and areas that could perhaps benefit from a massage.  You may notice your concentration has improved.  Your energy overall seems to be more balanced and sustained. As you become more sensitive to your body's needs you have integrated the next step "SENSE".  

At "SENSE" your body will tell you what it needs for nourishment.  You begin to "NOURISH" your body at step 3 with good quality food and daily movement that supports your health.  As you eat slowly and mindfully you are fully present in the moment.  When we are fully present in the moment - the "here and now", the breathing pattern regulates and stress subsides.  

You have moved easily and effortlessly to step 4: BREATHE. Slow, deep breathing, nourishes the brain, relieves fatique and boosts our energy. Checking our breathing regularly throughout the day reminds us to let go and relax. We heal and support our immune system when we are relaxed.  According to Eastern philosophy, the more relaxed you are the powerful you are. 

"RELAX" is Step 5.  Congratulations! It couldn't be more simple.  An easy mindful journey that supports your health and contributes to your overall well-being.
